Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Chitrolekha Journal on Art and Design is committed to upholding scholarly publication ethics through every possible means. As a publisher, AesthetixMS strives to adhere to norms and guidelines formulated by various scholarly societies, aiming to achieve international standards while maintaining quality in publication and updating our systems. We expect all parties associated with the journal to follow these norms as outlined below:

1. Authorship:

• All published materials, including articles, book reviews, poems, or art pieces, must appropriately attribute authorship.
• The corresponding author, who initiates the online submission process, bears the responsibility for ensuring integrity in publication ethics by complying with the following:
  • Confirming that the submitted manuscript represents genuine research work produced by the author(s).
  • Ensuring that all other authors are aware of the submission.
  • Obtaining permission from co-authors for publication.
  • Acknowledging the contributions of all authors appropriately.
  • Sufficiently acknowledging any other individuals or parties who have added value to the work.
  • Properly signing and submitting the Conflicts of Interests document.

2. Changes in Authorship:

• Authors can request changes to authorship by contacting the Chief Editor.
• The Editorial Board reserves the right to make decisions on such requests.
• Public notification may occur in the case of any post-publication changes.

3. Unethical Authorship Practices:

• We condemn unethical practices such as ‘Ghost,’ ‘guest,’ or ‘gift’ authorship (where there is no proper contribution to an article) and take appropriate action against such practices.

4. Publication Process:

• We expect editors, reviewers, and website managers associated with our journals and magazines to strictly follow international norms.
• Authors should conform to ethical norms by adhering to our guidelines during the submission process.

5. Submission Guidelines:

• Authors submitting to our journals and magazines should strictly adhere to our guidelines.
• We take action against the following practices:
  • Simultaneous Submission to Other Agencies:
    • Manuscripts submitted to us should not be simultaneously submitted elsewhere during the peer review process.
    • Authors engaging in simultaneous submission face consequences.
  • Plagiarism:
    • Plagiarism is unacceptable.
    • Authors are expected to have a proper understanding of plagiarism issues.

6. Conflict of Interest:

• Editors and reviewers are encouraged to avoid any potential conflicts of interest while performing their duties to maintain the integrity of our publication ethics and elevate journal standards.
