Reynaldo THOMPSON is Professor at the University of Guanajuato in Mexico. He studied architecture at the University of Bordeaux III in France and at the Universitat Politécnica de Cataluña in Barcelona, Spain before moving on to earn his doctorate degree in Aesthetic Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas. He has curated exhibitions in the USA, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and was involved in museological work in Spain. He has tutored students of arts internationally. In his doctoral studies he was associated with legendary curator critic the Late Richard Brettell, Legion de Honor. Thompson has published widely and internationally in prestigious journals. He was the Director of the Department of Art and Enterprise in Guanajuato, Mexico. He is a candidate of the National System of Research at the National Council of Science and Technology in Mexico and teaches in two doctoral programs, including in the International Iberoamerican Doctoral program in Aesthetic Theories and the Interinstitutional Doctoral program in Art and Culture.
