Sreecheta Mukherjee founded the Chitrolekha International Magazine on Art and Design in 2011 because of the lack of information and scholarly content on arts and crafts of Bengal especially. A textile designer by training, she has been actively interested in traditional arts, crafts and architecture and devotes her time to exploring art and history from interdisciplinary approaches.
